Weimaraner Rescue

Thinking of getting a Weimaraner? If you want the challenges of keeping ahead of the fearless "gray ghost", and your daily activities can include your dog, you may be suited to the Weimaraner. He loves kids and is used to being a member of a family. Where's a great place to start...consider rescue. 

'What IS rescue anyway?  There are many wonderful Weims who are not puppies any longer who are also looking for good homes. They have been displaced from their original homes for a variety of reasons--divorce, health emergencies, etc and are now in the Weimaraner Rescue program and are looking for a new home.

Meet Lily.  She is a 7 year old beautiful girl.  Lily has been kept outside the last two years before she was given up to rescue. Before that there is not a lot of information.  Lily is now back indoors and is a real sweetheart.  Shows no aggression toward people or other dogs.  She is housebroken and likes to bark a little when her people leave.  She also knows some obedience and we are working with her daily.  She is very eager to please and likes to play, eat and sleep on her big fluffy dog bed.

LILY (JC's Tiger Lily): 2yo spayed female, Five's daughter (see below). Came back to her two months ago from a family who  couldn't keep her. Obedience  trained, crate trained, raised with little kids (3 and 5 yo) and did fine with them. Very sweet. No papers.
 
SUMMER (Graydove JC's Summertime): 3.5yo intact female, shy, a little skittish, has not been around kids; very sweet. Bred in Australia, has Australian papers, not registered in the US.

SHADOW (CH. JC's Royal Silver Shadow): sorry, forgot to get her age, I'm thinking about 7? Intact female. Finished show champ. Cuddly. An in-your-face, friendly dog, good girl, can be a food thief. Has papers.
 
FIVE (CH. JC's Win'Weim Five Card Draw) : sorry, forgot to get his age, I'm thinking about 7?. Intact male, finished show champ. Okay crated; may lift leg in house if left unattended while you're gone. Has papers.
 
MEGAN (JC's Meg O'My Heart): 3yo intact female. Five is her father. Needs to be an only dog, is dog-aggressive. Can get papers.
 
ANNIE (Little Miss Sure Shot): turns 7 in December. Spayed. Sweet, loving, crate trained, a little shy, likes to sleep in bed with you. No papers.

STASHA (JC's Anastasia): 9yo, spayed. Was shown, didn't have her Majors. Big girl for the breed (about 68-70lbs). Countersurfer. Not sure if can find her papers.
 
ANNIE, FIVE AND SHADOW are from Dana Massey's Fred and Stitches (Pam co-owned Stitches, I believe, who recently passed over). All three have heart murmurs (adult onset, were not present as pups). They don't require meds at this time.

Meet Lucy.  Lucy girl.....doesn't bark, isn't pushy rather reserved but not shy, real sweetie, wags 24/7,
knows some obedience, just goes along with the program, Got to find this 6 year old gal a good home!!
